A vetted WhatsApp group for advanced pickleball players who want better games in New York City.
Advanced players aren't hard to find in New York. The hard part is finding the right four, at the right level and time, without chasing messages across five chats.
We’re a smaller, more useful player pool for people who want good games, reliable RSVPs, and a better tone on and off the court.
Club Basics.
A small, application-only WhatsApp group of advanced players.

You post when you're free. Someone with a matching level and window picks it up, you book a court, and you split the rate. No standing commitment, no every-week obligation — just well-matched games when you actually want them. Not every game will be perfect, but the matching is the whole point.
-
Advanced recreational and competitive players, roughly DUPR 3.7–4.7. Good players, good points, clear communication, and no need for anyone to prove how good they are.
-
Nothing to join. You pay your share of court time. The Club's job is helping to find a time that works for everyone.

Meet the Founder
Hello, I’m David Judson and I started The 4.0 Club to make it easier for advanced Manhattan players to find the right four.
After playing many advanced open plays in NYC, I realized the best games usually happen when four well-matched players commit to one court.
I started The 4.0 Club as a better way to organize strong games without the randomness, uneven levels, and occasional weird energy open play can still bring.
